The first grade classes participated in a Distance Learning Program about Polar Bears. The presenter was at the Indianapolis Zoo. We have been studying polar bears, and were able to answer many of the questions the presenter asked us. We were pleased that we knew polar bears' skin is really black, and although their hair looks white it is actually like clear tubes. We learned many other interesting facts about Polar Bears. What a wonderful fieldtrip without ever leaving Howard School!
