The children made applesauce to celebrate Johnny Appleseed's birthday. Each child brought in an apple. They had to peel and core the apple. Then they had to divide the pieces into two piles because we had two crock pots. Once the children had separated the apples, they had to cut the slices into small pieces. They put red hots into one of the crock pots. We let the applesauce cook all day long. Then we ate it. We are good cooks! It was yummy!
