Making Applesauce

Look how long the apple skin is!

Removing the skin of the apple before we take the core out.

We took the seeds from the core to use for more activities later.

Her apple skin stayed together!

We are getting lots of seeds from the cores of our apples!

It's fun making applesauce!

We put half of our apple into the 'plain' crock pot, and the other half in the 'cinnamon' crock pot.

Long apple skins.

Fun way to peel an apple!

Chopping up the apple before dividing it into equal halves.
We made applesauce by peeling, coring and chopping up our apples into equal halves.  When we cored the apple we ended up with 8 pieces.  We had to divide those pieces equally into the two crock pots. Later we ate our two kinds of applesauce and tallied who like the plain the best and who liked the cinnamon the best.  (The plain won!!!)  We found out we are really good cooks!  Yummy!
