Open House

  We had a very successful Open House.  It was so nice to meet all the parents.  Mrs. Stites' parents came to visit also. Her dad has only missed coming to one Open House during the 32 years Mrs. Stites has been teaching!

Open House

Open House was a fun time for the children to introduce their parents to their teacher. We worked on the correct way to introduce people. We also made our portraits so the parents could see where we sit during the day. We are great artists! ( Can you tell which one is the real child and which is the drawing?) Parents and children went outside to enjoy a picnic of grilled hotdogs. That way they could meet other parents and children in our classroom. Mrs. Stites' parents came to the Open House. Mrs. Stites' dad has only missed one Open House in 31 years. (He was in Switzerland at the time.) She has dedicated parents and appreciates them immensely!

Open House

We had Open House at Howard Elementary. The PTO provided a picnic of hotdogs and drinks for the children and their families. The children drew their faces and we placed them on their chairs so when the parents came to visit our room, they could see all the happy faces of the children in our class. Mrs. Stites' mom and dad came to visit too. Her dad used to be a principal and a teacher, and her mom used to be a secretary in the Marion Community Schools. Mrs. Stites' dad has only missed one Open House out of all of the 30 years she has been teaching!
