     The children at Howard Elementary raised money for the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society.  For every $20 earned by a classroom, a child from that class could throw a pie in the face of our Student Council volunteers.  Howard raised around $1000 to help send a cancer patient to camp.  The children at Howard Elementary care about others.

Howard Elementary raised money for the Lymphoma and Leukemia Society.  Student Council members were assigned a classroom.  Someone from that classroom could throw one whipped cream pie in the face of the student council member for each $20 raised by that class.  The school raised enough money that the principal took a pie in the face, and also Captain Harold Vincent, our DARE officer.  This was a fun way to raise a lot of money for a good cause.

Pie Throw for Leukemia - LLS

The students at Howard Elementary School raised money for the LLS foundation in order to help out with finding a cure for Leukemia and Lymphoma. Each class tried to raise enough money to throw a pie in the face of their designated student council member. For every $20 raised, the students got to throw one pie. Mrs. Stites' class raised enough for two pies. The whole school raised over $556.00. Our principal, Mr. Willman said if we raised over $500.00 he would take a pie in the face. We are proud of our efforts to help find a cure.

Pie Throw for Leukemia and Lymphoma

Our school raised over $1000 to donate to the LLS foundation to help those with Leukemia and Lymphoma. Each class earned a pie for each $20 the class raised. Our class raised enough for 6 pies! Mrs. Stites drew names out of a hat to decide which six children got to represent our classroom and throw the pies into the face of our student council member. Captain Harold Vincent made a special deal with the DARE students and took 3 pies in the face. All the children enjoyed the festivities. It was a fun way to raise money to help those who are suffering.
