Walk-a-thon Fundraiser
Howard Elementary School funded a Walk-a-thon for education. Each child was given 10 envelopes and asked to find supporters for the walk. Donations were sent in from Aunts, Uncles, Grandparents and community members. The t-shirts (which were paid for by sponsoring companies) had a design logo which was drawn by a student and won by penny votes. The whole school had to walk a certain amount of time around Howard school. All monies coming in were 100% profit. The school earned $10,000.00! Now the principal has to shave his mustache and also shave his head. Great team work... great fun!
